I was going to search the web for advice on how to handle this. Then I realized there are only two options available:

1) don’t have a facebook account

2) don’t act like an asshole, ever (since you never know when one of your FB friends with a camera is lurking)

Of course, the second option (for me, for anyone) is impossible, right? I breathe. I eat. I act like an asshole from time to time. That’s how it’s going to be. I try my best, but sometimes the inhibitions come down.

You’re in good shape if you have an understanding friend – just message them and ask them to remove the photo(s) in question: easy!

If, however, it’s not a friendly person you’re dealing with: tell on them. Inform the Facebook authorities, the social cops. If you’re not friendly friends, what’s the big deal? Having your coworkers see photos of you throwing up at your turn at drunken karaoke is probably worse than being teased for calling the Facebook cops on someone. The cops will make them take it down if you make enough noise, I’m sure of it.
