Yeah, we're expected to work 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. I had today off due to a migraine, but I'll be working on Saturday. I would have been working on Saturday even if I wasn't forced to take today off. And it isn't even our busy season. My surgery is going to double as a vacation. :)

You're scheduled for 50 hours a week? Holy crap - that's documented? Soooo type A, Aslynn ;)

Jealous of teacher friends - Oh my god yes. I've pondered that many times.

I'm scheduled for 50 hours a week and often work more than that. I think about my friends who are teachers, who make way less money, but are done their days by 3:30 most days. I'm not sure if I'm jealous or not.

Hello,
The newest Social Studies column always appears at the top of www.globeandmail.com/facts. The previous four columns appear a bit further down the page, in the middle column under the heading Social Studies. The column you're referring to, posted at 5:11 p.m., was not from that day's paper. It was the next day's column, published in the next day's paper but posted on the website the evening before.
Thanks for reading,
Facts & Arguments Editor

Hello,
I'm the Facts & Arguments editor at The Globe and Mail. I apologize for the difficulty you've experienced in finding the Social Studies column every day. These issues have been resolved with the launch of the Facts & Arguments web page. You now have several easier options than visiting the Life site and scrolling down to find the latest column. Instead, visit www.globeandmail.com/facts. The latest Social Studies column is posted at the top of that page every day. Or, if you're on any other section home page, look on the left side under More Sections for the grey link to Social Studies, which will bring you to the Facts & Arguments page. I will also look into the RSS feed.
Thank you for your input,
Lori
